The course comprises only four small topics. We have tried our best to present the complex concepts concisely and comprehensibly. First of all, the course discusses different types of logs in Windows. Then, it differentiates between standard and default Windows accounts and explains their properties. The course also explores different sections of a log and their associated numerical values.
Lastly, it explains hackers’ persistence techniques to ensure their strong foothold within the victim’s environment. Going through that topic, you will learn different methods hackers use to achieve persistence. Some of the important registry keys and event IDs are also listed. Each topic is followed by a series of questions to help you review the important concepts. While this course does not offer many practical insights, it will ensure that you are ready to take an active, hands-on role as a SOC analyst in any reputable organization.
